Again, rose soon after 7.30am. Another overcast day and the weather couldn't make up it's mind
as to what it was going to do. Breakfast was cereal followed by bacon sandwiches. Inspection as usual at 9.30am and then out for the day.The first
stop was Glen Goyne Distellery where some of the Leaders were able to taste the 10 year single malt and the Scouts the local water, whilst
watching a short video about the history of Glen Goyne and whisky. A tour of the various stages of whisky making then followed. Next it was off
to the Wallace Monument in Stirling where we climbed to the top to enjoy the views of the city. The afternoon was a visit to the Time Capsule for
swimming and ice skating, where one Leader took an hour and a half to complete a lap of the rink. Returned to site at 6.30pm and prepared a fire
for our backwoods cooking for dinner. By this time the sun had come out and it was warm. The preparation took considerably longer than expected
and it was 9.30pm before we were eating. As the Scouts were all tired, they made themselves a hot drink and went to bed. All was quiet soon
after 11pm.
