Were up around 7.45am to a very cold morning, but the sun was out and it soon warmed up. Breakfast of porridge and then sausages, eggs and tomatoes. A quick inspection at 9.30am which was then followed by tidying up the campfire circle from the previous evening. From 10am to 12pm was an abseiling session with Chantel. Two Scouts climbed the tower to admire the view whilst the other 5 all had four goes each and enjoyed themselved and became competent at it. Lunch was sandwiches/salad etc. and a couple of hours free time then followed. Two of the Leaders went off to get some more shopping whilst the Scouts had a small Highland Games which involved throwing the hammer, cross country run, tossing the caber and a tug-o-war. This took us up to to dinner which was rice and chicken followed by whip. For the evening, the Scouts were asked to construct a bivouac. That kept them occupied until supper time of a hot drink and then bed.
